Onboarding workflow

Launching your first session in QueueJump should feel controlled, not rushed.

This guide walks you from account setup to a live, tested session. The aim is not just to publish, it is to publish confidently.

Step 1: Connect payments first

Before building menus or sessions, Connect Stripe.

Payments are the backbone of the system. Without an active and verified Stripe account, you cannot enable public vendor visibility or run paid checkouts.

Complete Stripe onboarding and ensure your status shows as verified. This removes the most common launch blocker early.

Step 2: Define your structure

QueueJump is built around three core entities:

  • An outlet (your trading unit)
  • A location (where you trade)
  • A menu (what you sell)

Start with one of each.

Avoid building multiple outlets, seasonal menus, or future event locations during your first setup. A clean, single-session structure is easier to test and stabilise.

Step 3: Build a focused launch menu

Create one practical launch menu.

Keep it tight.

Add your core items. Configure pricing clearly. Confirm allergen declarations where required. Only add modifiers that reflect real service decisions.

The goal of your first session is validation, not menu expansion.

Step 4: Create a draft session

Link your outlet, location, and menu to a new session.

Set:

  • Opening time for orders
  • Cutoff time
  • Slot duration
  • Maximum orders per slot (if applicable)

These decisions shape how demand flows into your service window.

If you are unsure, start conservatively. You can adjust once you observe real behaviour.

Step 5: Publish and test properly

Once validation checks pass, publish the session.

Before sharing the link publicly:

  • Place a low-value live order.
  • Confirm checkout succeeds.
  • Confirm confirmation emails are received.
  • Confirm the order appears in your live orders view.
  • Confirm modifiers display clearly.

This test is essential. It validates the entire chain from customer checkout to service interface.

Step 6: Promote intentionally

Only once the system behaves as expected should you:

  • Share your session link.
  • Publish your QR code.
  • Announce availability to customers.

Before promotion, open Dashboard -> Settings -> QR to download ready-to-use social assets, QR artwork, and printable posters/sticker sheets.

Also review Dashboard -> Settings -> Branding so your public profile, strapline, and social links are current.

Avoid launching and configuring simultaneously. Stable systems create calmer service days.

What a successful first launch looks like

You should have:

  • One verified Stripe connection.
  • One outlet.
  • One location.
  • One focused menu.
  • One published session.
  • At least one successful low-value live order.

From there, expansion is straightforward.

A final note

QueueJump is designed to reduce friction during peak service. The best results come from disciplined initial setup.

Launch small. Validate flow. Then expand with confidence.
