Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about QueueJump.

Getting Started

What is QueueJump?

QueueJump is a pre-order platform for street food vendors and pop-ups. Vendors publish their menus for specific locations and time windows, customers order and pay online, then collect their food when it's ready. No queuing required.

How much does QueueJump cost for vendors?

QueueJump is priced per food outlet: £20/month for 1 outlet (Solo), £35/month for up to 3 outlets (Growth), or £75/month for up to 6 outlets (Pro). In addition, there is a small platform fee of 1.5% per order to cover infrastructure and support costs. Card processing fees (Stripe: 1.4% + 20p per transaction) are charged separately. There are no setup fees or long-term contracts. QueueJump does not charge commission or take a large percentage cut of your sales.

Is QueueJump available outside the UK?

We're launching in the UK first, with all prices in GBP and optimised for UK payment methods. We plan to expand to other markets in the future.

For Vendors

Can I add my own menu?

Absolutely! You have full control over your menu. Add items, set prices, upload photos, and write descriptions. You can update your menu anytime: change items for different locations, add daily specials, or adjust prices. It's your menu, your way.

Can I add allergen information to my menu?

Yes, and we strongly recommend it. You can tag each menu item with any of the 14 UK allergens (gluten, nuts, dairy, etc.). These display as clear icons on your menu so customers can make informed choices. It's your responsibility to keep allergen info accurate and up to date.

Can I use QueueJump at multiple locations?

Yes! You can create as many locations as you need. Each location has its own time window and shareable link. Perfect for vendors who operate at different markets throughout the week.

Can I control how far ahead customers can order?

Yes! You set the ordering window for each location. Open orders a week in advance for a big event, or just a few hours before you arrive. You decide when ordering opens and when it closes, giving you full control over preparation time.

What if something is out of stock?

You can mark items as unavailable with a single tap in your dashboard. Customers won't be able to order that item until you mark it as available again. Perfect for managing limited quantities or when you sell out of a popular dish.

Can QueueJump completely replace walk-up orders?

It can, but it doesn't have to. Some vendors go 100% pre-order for busy events. It lets you prep everything in advance and eliminates queue stress. Others prefer a hybrid: pre-orders for the organised, walk-ups for the spontaneous. QueueJump works either way.

Can I still serve customers who prefer to queue?

Of course! QueueJump runs alongside your existing operation. Keep your walk-up queue for customers who prefer it, while offering pre-orders for those who want to skip ahead. Many vendors find the mix works brilliantly. Pre-orders smooth out the rush, and walk-ups fill the gaps.

How do I get customers to use QueueJump?

We make it easy! Each location gets a unique shareable link and a downloadable QR code. Print the QR code and display it at your stall, add it to your menu board, or include it on flyers. Customers scan it with their phone camera and go straight to your ordering page.

Can I promote QueueJump on social media?

Absolutely, and we encourage it! Share your ordering link in Instagram Stories, Reels, or posts before you head to a location. Let followers know they can pre-order and skip the queue. You can also download branded graphics from your dashboard to make your posts stand out.

Can I let customers know where I'll be next?

Yes! Customers can follow their favourite vendors. When you publish a new location, we'll automatically email your followers to let them know where you'll be and when. It's a great way to build a loyal customer base and fill your order book before you even arrive.

How do I get paid?

Payments go directly to your Stripe account. Stripe typically pays out within 2-3 business days. You keep full control of your money, and we never hold your funds.

For Customers

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can order as a guest with just your name and email address. We'll send you an order confirmation and notify you when your food is ready.

Can I see allergen information?

Yes. Vendors can tag their menu items with allergen information, which displays as icons on each item. Always double-check with the vendor if you have a severe allergy. They're responsible for the accuracy of their allergen data.

Can I add notes to my order?

Yes! There's a notes field at checkout where you can add special requests, like 'no onions', 'extra spicy', or allergy reminders. The vendor sees your notes when preparing your order.

Can I choose a collection time?

Yes, if the vendor offers time slots. You'll be able to pick your preferred collection window when you order. If no slots are set, your order will be ready as soon as the vendor prepares it.

Is my payment secure?

Absolutely. All payments are processed through Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment providers. Your card details are never seen or stored by QueueJump. They go straight to Stripe's secure systems.

Can I order while I'm already at the location?

Absolutely. You can place an order anytime during the ordering window, including while you're there. It's a great way to skip the queue even if you didn't plan ahead.

How will I know when my order is ready?

You'll get an email as soon as the vendor marks your order as ready. Just head to the collection point and pick it up. No waiting around.

What if I can't collect my order?

If your plans change, please contact the vendor as soon as possible. Their details are in your confirmation email. Refunds are at the vendor's discretion since they've already prepared (or started preparing) your food. To avoid this, we recommend only ordering when you're confident you can collect.

Can I cancel my order after paying?

QueueJump orders are pre-paid and vendors often start preparing straight away, so cancellations aren't guaranteed. If something comes up, reach out to the vendor directly. They may be able to help, but it's their call. We recommend treating your order like a commitment.

Can I follow my favourite vendors?

Yes! After placing an order, you can choose to follow that vendor. You'll get an email whenever they publish a new location, so you'll always know where your favourite vendor is heading next.
